ACME takes positions in consultation with its members on EU topics and consultations that are likely to affect the cooperative and mutual insurance sector. Its positions particularly aim to raise awareness of EU stakeholders on the specifics of cooperative and mutual insurance societies.

From 2005, its positions relating to the Solvency II project and the European mutual society statute are commonly agreed with the Association Internationale des Sociétés d'Assurance Mutuelle (AISAM).

When considering EU topics of general relevance for all European insurers, ACME closely liaises with the Comité Européen des Assurances (CEA) and other relevant trade associations.
